Trim the wick before each burn
Keep your wick trimmed to about ¼ inch before lighting. This prevents soot, mushrooming, and uneven burning.
Let the wax melt edge to edge
Allow your candle to burn long enough for the entire top layer to melt on the first use (usually 2–4 hours). This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn.
Don’t burn too long
Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish it, let it cool, and trim the wick before relighting.
Keep it clean
Make sure the wax pool is free of debris like wick trimmings, matches, or dust — they can affect how the candle burns.
Burn in a safe location
Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable.
Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains
This prevents the container from overheating or cracking.
Store properly
Keep candles in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight to prevent fading or melting.

Use a snuffer or lid to extinguish
Blowing out a candle can cause smoke and splatter. Use a wick snuffer or gently cover with the lid to extinguish safely.
